For every can of Corps Cider we sell, 25p is donated to the Royal Marines Association North Devon Branch.
This is a cause particularly close to our family, and one we're proud to support.
About the North Devon Branch
The North Devon Branch of the Royal Marines Association brings together former and serving Royal Marines, members of the wider Corps family and veterans from other Services.
At the heart of the branch is something very simple: comradeship.
The branch works hard to maintain the friendships and sense of belonging that come with military service, while also keeping in touch with members who may no longer be able to attend events in person.
Most importantly, it is there to offer friendship and support when members of the Corps family need it.
Keeping the Corps family connected
The branch meets regularly in North Devon, giving members the opportunity to catch up, share a meal and enjoy each other's company.
Throughout the year it also organises a number of social and regimental occasions, including its annual Regimental Dinner, Christmas Dinner, Burns Supper and summer BBQ.
But the branch is about much more than social events.
One of its most important responsibilities is looking after people.
Whether that means keeping in contact with someone who can no longer attend meetings, supporting a member going through a difficult time or simply making sure that nobody feels forgotten, the branch continues the Royal Marines tradition of looking after its own.
Part of the North Devon community
The branch has strong links with the Royal Marines community at RMB Chivenor.
Members also raise funds locally and undertake charitable work throughout North Devon, including collections within the local community.
It is run by people giving their own time to preserve the comradeship, traditions and mutual support of the Corps family here in North Devon.
Why we support them
Corps Cider has a very personal connection with the Royal Marines.
Our cider is made here on the farm by John, a former Royal Marine who served during the 1960s, including in Aden and Borneo.
So when we decided to start selling cider made from our own apples, we wanted a small part of every sale to go back to the community that has remained important to our family for so many years.
That's why 25p from every can of Corps Cider sold goes directly to the Royal Marines Association North Devon Branch.
It may only be 25p from one can.
But as we make, sell and hopefully grow Corps Cider, those 25 pences add up.
And we're very proud that they do.
